questions we get a lot
- Are all Tremolo instructors planning on pursuing music after college?
- Not necessarily. Many major or minor in music, but plenty don't — and you can prioritise that if it matters to you. Some students prefer mentors with other shared interests, like astronomy or engineering. All of them have extensive experience and a real passion for teaching.
- What are Jottingz? How can I access them?
- Jottingz are instructor notes visible to both students and parents. They provide feedback and reminders for what to work on between lessons. Many instructors include them free; some charge a small additional fee.
- How do I book a lesson?
- Through the instructors directory, where you'll have a plethora of mentors to choose from. Pick an instructor, pick a time, and you're booked.
- Can I customise my lesson package?
- Yes. Instructors offer add-ons like transportation or Jottingz, and many are happy to provide bulk lesson deals. Personal promotions are listed on each instructor's profile.
- What qualifications do Tremolo instructors have?
- Proof of college enrollment, letters of recommendation, a background check and an introduction video. Qualifications appear on individual listings so you can choose based on your own priorities.
- What is pricing like?
- The minimum rate is $25.00 / hour. Above that, instructors set their own pricing with no cap, and many offer discounts on a first lesson or a package.
- Where can lessons take place?
- In person or online, depending on the instructor's availability and what works for the student.
